| The Palio
of Asti
The Palio of Asti, the most ancient of Italy (since 1275), takes
place every year on the third Sunday of September. It is an important
and charming show, where 21 neighbourhoods contend for the sought-after
Palio.

Il Palio degli Sbandieratori (the Palio of Flag-Flyers), on of kind.
Il Palio degli scudieri, (the Palio of shield bearers), a competition
among jockeys making their debuts.
Propitiatory dinner of neightbourhoods
The great and majestic historical parade, with over a thousand costume
figurants.

The festival Delle Sagre
It is a traditional eno-gastronomic rendezvous.The week
before the Palio, local tourist office of the province's villages
agree to meet in the big market square to propose their typical
eno-gastronomic recipies.

The“Premio
Douja d’Or”
It is a contest dedicated to the wines, which takes place
in same week of the Palio.A jury chooses and awards a prize to the
best wines among the 200 labels of the competition. It is also a
week of guided wine tasting of the best labels of wines' production
of all Italy.
